A postdoctoral position is available in the Kang Lab at Texas State University for a researcher to join a multidisciplinary team investigating the molecular mechanisms by which small RNAs (sRNAs) regulate plant immunity. The successful candidate will focus on stress-responsive genomics and transcriptomics, as well as imaging-based validation of sRNA mobility under biotic stress conditions in plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate transcriptomic, epigenomic, and genomic responses to biotic stress
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Strong background in plant genomics and bioinformatics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong publication record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with R, Python, or similar tools for data analysis
- Familiarity with plant responses to biotic stress
Application Instructions
- To apply, please submit your curriculum vitae and the contact information for three references via email to Dr. Hong-Gu Kang at kang@txstate.edu.
