Tanzila successfully defended her thesis, entitled “Development of a Transgenic System for Overexpressing tRNA-Derived Small RNAs to Enhance Resistance in Plants.” Her work focused on establishing a transgenic approach to express our newly identified tRFs in plants, paving the way for developing disease-resistant lines.
